When traveling between islands, ferries are the only option. They run quite regularly in the summer. Horse drawn carriage is another option of transport on Malta, as are car rentals.

While in Malta, visitors should be sure to visit the Neolithic Temples. Built before the pyramids, they are considered to be one of the most impressive acheivements of the ancient world. The Hypogeum is another great place to visit. This is an underground structure made of rock. At one time it was a burial chamber, where thousands of bodies were once buried.

The Malta Temples are also a favorite of tourists. The Tarxien, Mnajdra, Hagar Qim and Ggantija are the most popular.
