The online gaming sector in Malta is regulated by the Malta Lotteries and Gaming Authority. The Lotteries and Gaming Authority governs all remote gaming activities conducted in Malta, ranging from national lotteries to international e-gaming.

The Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) is a governmental body in Malta tasked with controlling the activities of both local and international gaming companies present in Malta. The LGA is also tasked with promoting Malta as a base for e-gaming companies and participates in fares and other events all over Europe. Organized by the LGA, Malta has also offered a number of international gambling congresses.
