Horseback riding in Malta

Malta's smooth and rocky landscape is perfect for horseback riding, also called hacking. The steep cliffs and smooth hills of the island provides for excellent views and good conditions for riding.
There are several popular hacking routes on the island:
- Starting in Marsa, home of the Malta Equestrian Federation, continuing to Siggiewi, Rabat and Buskett Gardens.
- The northern coast, around Mellieha.
- Several places on the island of Gozo.
