The Malta Internation Airport is a newly constructed airport that has already won several awards for both design and services. It is one of the few newly constructed airports that works hard to be people friendly.

[edit] People friendliness

The airport is smoker-friendly in that it has an outdoor sun terrace where there are a multitude of tables and ashtrays.

The airport has free wireless internet service available.

[edit] Hub and base

Malta International Airport is the hub airport for Air Malta and a base airport for Ryanair.
