Malta is in time zone CET (Central European Time) during winter and CEST (Central European Summer Time) during summer. CET is UTC+1 and CEST is UTC+2.
UTC (Temps Universel Coordonné) is the technical equivalent to GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). You can therefore also say that Malta is GMT+1 in winter and GMT+2 in summer.
[edit] Daylight Saving Time
Malta observes Daylight Saving Time. This means that clocks are shifted forward by one hour during summer time and then back again one hour in winter time. The dates for shifting time is in late March and late October, and the dates varies from year to year. See timeanddate.com for time change schedules from 2010 to 2019.
