Virtu Ferries has been operating a ferry service between Malta and Sicily since 1988.

Virtu Ferries Ltd has passenger ferry service between Malta and Sicily, Italy.
There are two routes:
- Valletta - Catania, Sicily. This route departs 5 times per week and the crossing takes around three hours.
- Valleta - Pozzallo, Sicily. This route departs 10 times per week and the crossing takes around one and a half hours.

Virtu Ferries has a fleet consisting of 1 ship.

The Maria Dolores has a capacity of 600 passengers and 65 cars. The ship makes over 500 round trips to between Valletta, Malta and Pozzallo and Catania, Sicily every year. The trip to Pozzallo takes around 90 minutes and the trip to Catania takes around 3 hours.
