White Night in Valletta

A night of art, the White Night in Valletta is one of the main cultural events of the year in Malta. The white night is an annual event in a variety of Eurpoean cities and Malta follows in the footsteps of amongst others St. Petersburg, Brussels, Paris and Tel Aviv. The White Night / Notte Bianca is organised in Valletta in the public spaces of the city center and with events at 83 sites(!) around the city. For more information about what goes on where, see the programme for Notte Bianca 2010 or the map of events.
As in previous years, and as is the tradition for the white night, all the arrangements are free. All museums throughout the city will stay open until late in the night and admission is free of charge.

Throughout the white night celebration, art and cultural instituions offer free access to their services. Typical white night events are open museums, exhibitions but also theatre, dance and performing arts, tours, parades and reenactments are part of the programme.
